This page contains the gallery for recent photos I took while at the Manzanar National Historic Site. There is very little left of this WW2 Japanese Internment Camp but the spirit of the people still remains. The most impressive things there are the rock gardens and pathways constructed by those that were interned there. While photographing the now dry rock gardens one can imagine how the calming, relaxing nature of the water gardens helped the people cope with what their government had done. Click on a thumbnail image below to view the enlarged photograph. I appreciate you're taking the time to check out my work and as always if you'd like to purchase photographs or note cards contact me at info@fourwindsink.com. :) |
